Cursed or caused,the African economies?

Many a times I ask myself why the African economies aren't making reasonable progress despite abundant mineral deposits scattered all around the continent? Still in search for a convincing answer, I stumble on lousy and nasty comments emanating from Africans and people from other continents pointing accusing fingers to one thing or another. I had the opportunity to visit the continent of Asia which is the domain of the much talked about Asian Tigers. What did I see? A well structured educational system, an organised market, a well behaved political class with selfless interests, and above all, a growing infrastructural system in place with constant electricity supply, magnificent road network and constant flowing pipe borne water. The above facilities are forgone issues in advanced economies. I guess the reverse is the case for most countries in my beloveth African continent. We have the resources to put all these things in place but why did we choose to remain backward? Few amongst us have chosen to keep the money in foreign accounts for God knows why. The foreign banks that created the phrase " Money Laundering" still keep the money for their selfish agains. God blessed us with resources but we're making mockery of this blessing and some guys feel we're cursed instead. IMF, WB, please keep your policies, we've been educated enough with your classict ideas to enable us make choices for ourselves. #IGATDSOLUTIONTOOURPROBLEMS#
